And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?
Now when He was in Jerusalem at
the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing.
that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “ He told me all the things that I have done.”
Therefore when the people saw the
sign which He had performed, they said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”
As He spoke these things,
many came to believe in Him.
many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue;
All the crowds were amazed, and were saying, “This man cannot be the
Son of David, can he?”
Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away.
Even Simon himself believed; and after being baptized, he continued on with Philip, and as he observed
signs and great miracles taking place, he was constantly amazed.
For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also
faith without works is dead.
this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “
Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
A large crowd followed Him, because they saw the
signs which He was performing on those who were sick.
Therefore some of the Pharisees were saying, “This man is not from God, because He
does not keep the Sabbath.” But others were saying, “How can a man who is a sinner perform such signs?” And there was a division among them.
Many came to Him and were saying, “While John performed no
sign, yet everything John said about this man was true.”
and said to Him, “Are You
the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else?”
