9 Her (Y)uncleanness was in her skirts; She (l)did not consider her (Z)future. Therefore she has (m)(AA)fallen astonishingly;(AB)She has no comforter.“(AC)See, O Lord, my affliction,For the enemy has (AD)magnified himself!”
9 Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.
9 Uncleanness has soiled her skirts, and she gave no thought to what would follow. She fell in such a startling way, with no one to comfort her. Look, LORD, upon my affliction, because my enemy is boasting.

10 The adversary seized in his hands everything she valued. She watched the nations enter her sanctuary; those you forbade to enter your place of meeting.
11 All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for meat to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become vile.
11 All her people groaned as they searched for food. They traded their valuables in order to eat, to keep themselves alive. Look, LORD, and see how I have become dishonored.

13 He sent fire from on high, making it penetrate my bones. He stretched out a net at my feet, forcing me to turn back. He made me desolate; I'm fainting all day long.

14 נ NunMy transgressions have been formed into a yoke,(f)(g)(Y)fastened together by His hand;they have been placed on my neck, and the Lord has broken my strength. He has handed me overto those I cannot withstand.
14 The yoke of my sins was bound on, fastened together by his hand. They settled on my neck; he caused my strength to fail. The LORD placed me in the power of those I cannot resist.
15 “The (AS)Lord has rejected all my strong menIn my midst; He has called an appointed (t)time against meTo crush my (AT)young men;The Lord has (AU)trodden as in a wine pressThe virgin daughter of Judah.

16 For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.
16 Because of all this, I weep; my eyes stream with tears because far from me is the comforter of my soul. My children are sorrowful, because the enemy has won.

18 The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.
18 The LORD is in the right, but I rebelled against his commands. Listen, please, all you people, and look at my pain my young men and women have gone into captivity.

20 “See, O Lord, for I am in distress; My (y)(BH)spirit is greatly troubled; My heart is overturned within me,For I have been very (BI)rebellious. In the street the sword (z)slays; In the house it is like death.
20 Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the sword bereaveth, at home there is as death.
20 Look, LORD, how distressed I am; all my insides are churning. My heart is troubled within me, because I vigorously rebelled. Outside the sword brings loss of life, while at home death rules.
20 “See, O Lord, how distressed I am!My spirit is deeply disturbed; My heart is overturned within me and cannot rest,For I have been very rebellious. In the street the sword kills and bereaves; In the house there is [famine, disease and] death!

21 They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it: thou wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.
21 שׁ ShinPeople have heard me groaning,(AL)but there is no one to comfort me.All my enemies have heard of my misfortune;they are glad that You have caused it.(AM)Bring on the day You have announced,so that they may become like me.(AN)
21 People heard how I groan, with no one to comfort me. All my adversaries have heard about my troubles; they rejoice that you have caused them. Bring on the day you have promised, so my adversaries will become like me.
22 Let all their wickedness come before thee; and do unto them, as thou hast done unto me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.
22 May all of their wickedness come to your attention, and deal with them as you have done with me because of all my transgressions. For I am constantly groaning, and my heart is faint.
22 “Let all their wickedness come before You;And deal with them as You have dealt with meBecause of all my transgressions; For my groans are many and my heart is faint.”
