‘Now if his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings, if he is going to offer out of the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without defect before the Lord.

‘Now this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings which shall be presented to the Lord.

To accomplish

Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will keep me on this journey that I take, and will give me

food to eat and garments to wear,

Then God said to Jacob, “Arise, go up to Bethel and live there, and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

then make an offering by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering or a sacrifice to

fulfill a special vow, or as a freewill offering or in your appointed times, to make a soothing aroma to the Lord, from the herd or from the flock.

“When you make a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for it would be sin in you, and the Lord your God will surely require it of you.

“Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving
And pay your vows to the Most High;

“I was due to offer peace offerings;
Today I have paid my vows.

When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!
