1 Now it came about (A)on the eighth day that Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;

1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron, his sons, and the elders of Israel.(A)

1 Eight days later, Moses called Aaron, his sons, and the elders of Israel.

2 And he said to Aaron, Take a young ox for a sin-offering and a male sheep for a burned offering, without a mark, and make an offering of them before the Lord.

2 And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.

2 and he said to Aaron, “(B)Take for yourself a calf, a bull, for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without defect, and offer them before the Lord.

2 He said to Aaron, “Take a young bull for a sin(a) offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish,(B) and present them before the Lord.

2 He told Aaron, "Take a young calf for a sin offering and a ram without defect for a whole burnt offering and bring them into the LORD's presence."

3 And say to the children of Israel: Take a he-goat for a sin-offering, and a young ox and a lamb, in their first year, without any mark on them, for a burned offering;

3 And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;

3 Then to the sons of Israel you shall speak, saying, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both one year old, without defect, for a burnt offering,

3 And tell the Israelites:(b) Take a male goat for a sin offering; a calf and a lamb, male yearlings without blemish, for a burnt offering;

3 He also told the Israelis, "Bring a male goat for a sin offering, a calf, a year old lamb without defect for a whole burnt offering,

4 And an ox and a male sheep for peace-offerings, to be put to death before the Lord; and a meal offering mixed with oil: for this day you are to see the Lord.

4 Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.

4 and an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord, and a grain offering mixed with oil; for today (C)the Lord will appear to you.’”

4 an ox, a ram for a peace offering to sacrifice in the LORD's presence, and a grain offering with olive oil, because on that day the LORD will appear to you."

5 And they took the things ordered by Moses, before the Tent of meeting, and all the people came near, waiting before the Lord.

5 And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.

5 So they took what Moses had commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the whole congregation came near and stood before the Lord.

5 They brought what Moses had commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the whole community came forward and stood before the Lord.

5 So they brought what Moses had commanded to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. The entire congregation drew near and stood in the LORD's presence.

6 And Moses said, This is what the Lord has said you are to do; and you will see the glory of the Lord.

6 And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.

6 Moses said, “This is the thing which the Lord has commanded you to do, that (D)the glory of the Lord may appear to you.”

6 Moses said, “This is what the Lord commanded you to do, that the glory of the Lord(D) may appear to you.”

6 Then Moses said, "This is what the LORD commanded you to do so that the glory of the LORD may be revealed to you."

7 And Moses said to Aaron, Come near to the altar and make your sin-offering and your burned offering to take away your sin and the sin of the people, and make the people's offering to take away their sin; as the Lord has given orders.

7 And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.

7 Moses then said to Aaron, “Come near to the altar and (a)(E)offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, that you may make atonement for yourself and for the people; then make the offering (b)for the people, that you may make atonement for them, just as the Lord has commanded.”

7 Then Moses said to Aaron, “Approach the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering; make atonement for yourself and the people.(c)(E) Sacrifice the people’s offering and make atonement for them, as the Lord commanded.”

7 Moses then told Aaron, "Approach the altar and bring your sin and whole burnt offerings. Make atonement for yourself and the people. Then bring the people's offering and make atonement for them, as the LORD commanded."

The Sin Offering For The Priests

8 So Aaron came near to the altar and put to death the ox for the sin-offering for himself;

8 Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

8 (F)So Aaron came near to the altar and slaughtered the calf of the sin offering which was for himself.

8 So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering for himself.

8 So Aaron drew near to the altar and slaughtered the calf for a sin offering on behalf of himself.

9 And the sons of Aaron gave him the blood and he put his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar, draining out the blood at the base of the altar;

9 And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:

9 (G)Aaron’s sons presented the blood to him; and he dipped his finger in the blood and (H)put some on the horns of the altar, and poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.

9 Aaron’s sons brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and applied it to the horns of the altar. He poured out the blood at the base of the altar.

9 Next, Aaron's sons brought the blood to him and he dipped his fingers in the blood and placed it on the horns of the altar. As to the rest of the blood, he poured it at the base of the altar.

10 But the fat and the kidneys and the fat on the liver of the sin-offering were burned by him on the altar as the Lord gave orders to Moses.

10 But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.

12 Then he slaughtered the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons handed the blood to him and he sprinkled it around on the altar.

12 Then he slaughtered the burnt offering. Aaron’s sons brought him the blood, and he sprinkled it on all sides of the altar.

12 And so the burnt offering was slaughtered, and Aaron's sons secured for him the blood, which he poured on the altar and around it.

13 And they gave him the parts of the burned offering, in their order, and the head, to be burned on the altar.

13 And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

13 They handed the burnt offering to him in (d)pieces, with the head, and he offered them up in smoke on the altar.

16 He also presented the burnt offering, and (e)offered it according to (K)the ordinance.

16 He presented the burnt offering and sacrificed it according to the regulation.(H)

16 Then he brought the whole burnt offering and offered it according to procedure.

17 And he put the meal offering before the Lord, and taking some of it in his hand he had it burned on the altar, separately from the burned offering of the morning.

17 And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.

17 Next he presented (L)the grain offering, and filled his (f)hand with some of it and offered it up in smoke on the altar, (M)besides the burnt offering of the morning.

19 As for the portions of fat from the ox and from the ram, the fat tail, and the fat (O)covering, and the kidneys and the (g)lobe of the liver,
