The Prediction Of Jesus' Birth
26 Now in the sixth month [of Elizabeth's pregnancy] the angel Gabriel was sent from God to the Galilean town of Nazareth, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28 The angel came to her and said, "Greetings, you are someone greatly favored [i.e., by God]; the Lord is with you."
