³⁰ And taking up the question , Jesus said - A certain man, was going down from Jerusalem unto Jericho, and, with robbers, fell in, - who, stripping him, and inflicting, wounds, upon him, departed, leaving him, half dead. ³¹ And, by chance, a certain priest, was coming down by that road, and, seeing him, passed by, on the opposite side. ³² And, in like manner, a Levite also, coming down to the place, and seeing him, passed by, on the opposite side.
