John The Baptist Begins His Ministry

‘Every ravine shall be filled up,
And every mountain and hill shall be leveled;
And the crooked [places] shall be made straight,
And the rough roads smooth;
⁶ 
and all mankind shall see the salvation of God.’” ⁷ So he began saying to the crowds who were coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath [of God that is] to come?

And all humanity shall see it together;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.”

He says, “It is too trivial a thing that You should be My Servant
To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the survivors of Israel;

That My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
