Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited His people!”
But when the crowds saw this, they were
awestruck, and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
All the crowds were amazed, and were saying, “This man cannot be the
Son of David, can he?”
And he got up and immediately picked up the pallet and went out in the sight of everyone, so that they were all amazed and
were glorifying God, saying, “ We have never seen anything like this.”
When they had threatened them further, they let them go (finding no basis on which to punish them)
on account of the people, because they were all glorifying God for what had happened;
were glorifying God because of me.
But when Simon Peter saw that, he fell down at Jesus’
feet, saying, “Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man!”
And all the people of the country of the Gerasenes and the surrounding district asked Him to leave them, for they were gripped with great fear; and He got into a boat and returned.
It will be to Me a name of joy, praise and glory before all the nations of the earth which will hear of all the good that I do for them, and they will fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace that I make for it.’
Afterward the sons of Israel will
return and seek the Lord their God and David their king; and they will come trembling to the Lord and to His goodness in the last days.
And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to report it to His disciples.
great fear came over the whole church, and over all who heard of these things.
