Luke 8:11

"This is the meaning of the parable. The seed is the word of God.

"Whenever any one hears the message of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the Evil One comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.

"What the Sower sows is the Word. There are those 'on the wayside' where the Word is sown.

So strip off all filthiness and superfluity of wickedness, and in meekness receive the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God made the seed grow.

For we are God's fellow workers; and you are God's field, you are God's building.

For you have been born anew, not of perishable, but of imperishable seed, by the living, lasting word of God.
