Luke 9:19

They replied, "John the Baptist, though some say Elijah and some say that one of the ancient prophets has arisen."

When Herod the tetrarch heard all that was going on, he was quite at a loss; for some said that John had risen from the dead,

And he said to his servants, "This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead. That is why miraculous powers are working through him."

others said, "It is Elijah," others again, "It is a prophet, like one of the old prophets."

They asked him, "Then what are you? Elijah?" He said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" "No," he answered.

so they asked him, saying, "Then why are you baptizing people, if you are neither the Christ nor Elijah nor the Prophet?"

On hearing this some of the people said, "This really is the Prophet";

So they asked the blind man once more, "What have you to say about him, for opening your eyes?" The man replied, "I say he is a prophet."
