And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,

As Jesus was about to go up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside by themselves, and on the way He said to them,
Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things which are written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.
They were amazed
Now listen, Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who are sitting in front of you—indeed they are men who are a
symbol, for behold, I am going to bring in My servant the Branch.
When the days were approaching for
His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem;
The disciples *said to Him, “
Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone You, and are You going there again?”
and He did not speak to them
without a parable; but He was explaining everything privately to His own disciples.
At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.
Jesus answered them, “ To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.
Turning to the disciples, He said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see,
