Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alpheus, Thaddeus, Simon the Canaanite,

When they were arrived there, they went up into an upper room, where Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, Simon the Zelot, and Judas the brother of James used to resort,

as he passed along, he saw Levi the son of Alpheus, sitting at the custom-house, and said to him, follow me. accordingly he arose and followed him.

As Jesus left that place, he saw one Matthew by name, sitting at the customhouse: and said to him, follow me. and he rose and followed him.

James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas, and Matthew the publican, James the son of Alpheus, and Labbeus, whose sirname was Thaddeus, Simon the zelot,

is not this the carpenter's son? is not Mary his mother? and James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas, are they not his brothers?

is not he the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James and Joses, of Juda and Simon? are not these his sisters, who are here with us? and they were scandalized at him.

After this Jesus left the place, and seeing a publican named Levi, sitting at the custom-house, he said to him, follow me.

(to whom he gave the name of Peter) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,

Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two disciples, who had followed Jesus, after they had heard what John had said.

The day following Jesus having a mind to go into Galilee, met with Philip, and said to him, follow me.

Jesus then lifting up his eyes, and seeing a great company coming to him, said to Philip, where can we buy bread to feed this people?

then said Thomas, that is, Didymus, to his fellow-disciples, let us also go, that we may die with him.

there were certain Greeks, who address'd themselves to Philip, who was of Bethsaida in Galilee, saying, sir, we would fain see Jesus.

Philip said to him, Lord shew us the father, and we are satisfied.

Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, why Lord, will you show your self to us, and not to the world?

But Thomas, that is, Didymus, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.

Simon Peter, Thomas, otherwise Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples of Jesus were all together.

After they had done speaking, James assum'd the discourse, and said, my brethren, give me your attention.

the next day Paul went with us to James, where all the pastors assembled.

have not we the liberty to take a christian woman with us in our travels, as well as the rest of the apostles, as the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas did?

after that he was seen by James; then by all the apostles.

but other of the apostles saw I none, except James the Lord's brother.

Peter, and John, who were esteemed to be pillars, perceived the favour that was bestowed on me, they admitted me and Barnabas into fellowship, and agreed, that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the Jews.

James a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the TWELVE TRIBES dispers'd thro' the world, sends greeting.

Jude the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those that are sanctified by God the father, and by their vocation are reserved for Jesus Christ.
