And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.
And He commanded them all to
sit down by groups on the green grass.
And He said,
“Bring them here to Me.”
And He directed the
people to sit down on the ground;
(For there were about five thousand men.) And He said to His disciples,
“Have them sit down to eat in groups of about fifty each.”
Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them.
mother *said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
“Have the people Now there was sit down.” much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He
blessed the food and broke the loaves and He kept giving them to the disciples to set before them; and He divided up the two fish among them all.
1 Samuel 9:13
As soon as you enter the city you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat, for the people will not eat until he comes, because
he must bless the sacrifice; afterward those who are invited will eat. Now therefore, go up for you will find him at once.”
and He took the seven loaves and the fish; and
giving thanks, He broke them and started giving them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
When He had reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and
blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them.
Jesus then took the loaves, and
having given thanks, He distributed to those who were seated; likewise also of the fish as much as they wanted.
He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats,
does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God.
1 Corinthians 10:30
If I partake with thankfulness,
why am I slandered concerning that for which I give thanks?
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
1 Timothy 4:3
forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.
Or the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many large baskets full you picked up?
