Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying,
On the next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met Him.
But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,
and began saying to Him, “By what authority are You doing these things, or who gave You this authority to do these things?”
They *came and *said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are truthful and
defer to no one; for You are not partial to any, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?
When He left there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be very hostile and to question Him closely on many subjects,
consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
