And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
Elijah appeared to them along with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.
And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah,
For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John.
I will raise up a prophet from among their
countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.
the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.
with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.
the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope.
2 Corinthians 3:7
But if the
ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was,
holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession;

Elijah must come first?”
1 Kings 17:1
Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was of
the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, “ As the Lord, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, surely there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word.”

2 Kings 2:11
As they were going along and talking, behold, there appeared
a chariot of fire and horses of fire which separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind to heaven.
“Behold, I am going to send you
Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord.
