5 And they told him. "At Bethlehem in Judea, as it is written in the prophet.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
5 “In Bethlehem of Judea,” they told him, “because this is what was written by the prophet:
5 They told him, "In Bethlehem of Judea, because that is what was written by the prophet:
6 "And thou Bethlehem in the land of Judah, Thou are not least among the princes of Judah, For out of thee shall come a ruler Who shall shepherd my people, Israel."
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
9 After hearing the king, they went their way; and the star, which they had seen in the east, went on before them until it came and stood over the place where the Child was.

12 But because they were forbidden by God in a dream to go back to Herod, they returned to their own country by another route.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
12 And having been (K)warned by God (L)in a dream not to return to Herod, the magi left for their own country by another way.
