Jesus Condemns Their Hypocrisy

¹² Whosoever shall exalt himself, shall be humbled, and he that shall humble himself, shall be exalted. ¹³ But wo to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; for ye shut the kingdom of heaven against men: ye go not in, neither suffer ye them that are entring to go in. ¹⁴ Wo to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: for ye devour widows houses, and for a pretence make long prayers; therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
