For like wandering birds or scattered nestlings,
The daughters of Moab will be at the fords of the [river] Arnon.


That is why it is said in the Book of the Wars of the Lord: Waheb in Suphah, and the valleys of [the branches of] the Arnon [River], And the slope of the valleys that stretch toward the site of Ar and find support on the border of Moab.



“For fire has gone out of Heshbon,
A flame from the city of Sihon;
It devoured Ar of Moab
And the lords of the heights of the Arnon.
