AND as they proceeded from Jericho a great multitude followed him. And behold two blind men who sat by the way, hearing that Jesus was passing by cried, saying, Have mercy on us Lord, Son of David! And when he came to the place, Jesus looking up saw him, and said to him, Zaccheus, make haste and come down, for to-day I must stop at your house; and he made haste and came down, and received him rejoicing. And Jesus replied and said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who both stripped him and inflicted blows upon him, and went away leaving him half dead.

And entering into Jericho he passed through it.
