In those days John the Baptist appeared, and kept preaching in the desert of Judea,


So great crowds followed Him, from Galilee and Decapolis, from Jerusalem and Judea, and from the other side of Jordan.

One day as He was teaching, there were some Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Him to cure people.

When he heard that Jesus had come back from Judea to Galilee, he went to Him and began to beg Him to come down and cure his son, for he was at the point of death.

This is the second wonder-work that Jesus performed after He had come back from Judea to Galilee.


When Jesus had finished this discourse, He left Galilee and went into the district of Judea that is on the other side of the Jordan.

But they continued emphatically insisting, "He is exciting the people by teaching all over Judea. He started in Galilee and now He is here."

Then He left there and went through the district of Judea and crossed the Jordan, and crowds of people again met around Him, and again He began to teach them, as His custom was.


In those days John the Baptist appeared, and kept preaching in the desert of Judea,

And he went all over the Jordan valley, preaching a baptism conditioned on repentance to obtain the forgiveness of sins,







In the days when Herod was king of Judea, there was a priest whose name was Zechariah, who belonged to the division of Abijah. His wife was also a descendant of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
