Now [after] Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem,
and having summoned together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he enquired of them where the Messiah was to be born: and they told him, at Bethlehem in Judea;
So they said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet,

Then Jerusalem and all Judea and all the district around the Jordan were going out to him,
Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested, He left [the province of Judea] and went to Galilee.
And large crowds followed him from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from the other side of the Jordan.
And it happened that when Jesus had finished these statements, he went away from Galilee and came into the region of Judea on the other side of the Jordan.
When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (he that readeth, let him understand;) Then let them who are in Judea flee to the mountains:
"then those in Judea must flee to the mountains!
and when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor of Judea.
