24 The heads of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brothers opposite them, (C)to praise and give thanks, (g)as prescribed by David the man of God, (D)division corresponding to division.

25 Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, watching the gates the watch of the stores of the gates.
25 Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were gatekeepers keeping watch at (E)the storehouses of the gates.
25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.
25 This included Mattaniah,(L) Bakbukiah, and Obadiah. Meshullam, Talmon, and Akkub were gatekeepers who guarded the storerooms at the gates.(M)

26 These were in the days of Joiakim son of Joshua, son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the prefect, and, of Ezra the priest, the scribe.

31 Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:

35 and some of the priests’ sons with trumpets, and Zechariah son of Jonathan, son of Shemaiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Micaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph followed
35 Some of the priests' sons were trumpeters, including Zechariah son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph,
36 And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nathaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with instruments of song of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.
36 and his (j)kinsmen, Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah and Hanani, (L)with the musical instruments of David the man of God. And Ezra the scribe went before them.

36 as well as his relatives—Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah, and Hanani, with the musical instruments of David, the man of God.(U) Ezra the scribe(V) went in front of them.
36 with his associates Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah, and Hanani, accompanied by the musical instruments of David, the man of God. Ezra the scribe led the procession.
37 And at the gate of the fountain, and before them, they went up upon the steps of the city of David in the going up to the wall from above to the house: of David, and even to the gate of waters of the sunrising.
37 At (M)the Fountain Gate they went directly up (N)the steps of the city of David by the stairway of the wall above the house of David to (O)the Water Gate on the east.
37 And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
37 At the Fountain Gate(W) they climbed the steps of the city of David(X) on the ascent of the wall and went above the house of David to the Water Gate(Y) on the east.
37 At the Fountain Gate, which stood opposite them, they ascended the stairs of the City of David where the wall rose above the house of David east of the Water Gate.
38 And the second praised going about to the front, and I after it, and, half the people above to the wall, above to the tower of the furnaces and even to the broad wall;
38 (P)The second (k)choir proceeded to the (l)left, while I followed them with half of the people on the wall, (Q)above the Tower of Furnaces, to (R)the Broad Wall,
38 And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;
38 The second thanksgiving procession went to the left, and I followed it with half the people along the top of the wall, past the Tower of the Ovens(Z) to the Broad Wall,(AA)
38 The second thanksgiving choir approached opposite them, and I followed them. Half of the people stood on the crest of the wall from beyond the Tower of the Ovens to the Broad Wall,
39 And from above to the gate of Ephraim, and over the old gate, and over the gate of fishes, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, and even to the sheep gate: and, they stood in the gate of the prison.
39 and above (S)the Gate of Ephraim, by (T)the Old Gate, by the (U)Fish Gate, (V)the Tower of Hananel and the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Sheep Gate; and they stopped at (W)the Gate of the Guard.
39 And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.

40 And the two choirs will stand in the house of God, and I, and half of the prefects with me:
40 Then the two choirs took their stand in the house of God. So did I and half of the officials with me;
40 So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
40 The two thanksgiving processions stood in the house of God. So did I and half of the officials accompanying me,
40 Then the two choirs assembled in the Temple of God, as did I, along with half of the officials who accompanied me,
41 And the priests: Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets;
41 and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah and Hananiah, with the trumpets;

42 And Maaseiah and Eleazar and Uzzi and Jehonathan and Malchijah and Elam and Ezer and those singing will cause to hear, and Jezrahiah, reviewing.
42 and Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam and Ezer. And the singers (m)sang, with Jezrahiah their leader,
42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
42 and Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar,Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer.Then the singers sang, with Jezrahiah as the leader.
42 Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer. And the singers made their presence known, with Jezrahiah to lead them.
43 And they will sacrifice in that day great sacrifices, and they will rejoice, for God caused them to rejoice with great gladness: and also the women and the children, rejoiced, and the gladness of Jerusalem will be heard even to far off.
43 and on that day they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced because (X)God had given them great joy, even the women and children rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard from afar.

44 And in that day they will appoint men over the cells to the treasures for the oblations for the first-fruits and for the tenths to collect into them to the fields of the cities the portions of the law to the priests and to the Levites: for the gladness of Judah over the priests and over the Levites standing.
44 On that day (Y)men were also appointed over the chambers for the stores, the contributions, the first fruits and the tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions required by the law for the priests and Levites; for Judah rejoiced over the priests and Levites who (n)served.
44 And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.
44 On that same day men were placed in charge of the rooms(AI) that housed the supplies, contributions, firstfruits, and tenths.(AJ) The legally required portions for the priests and Levites(AK) were gathered from the village fields, because Judah was grateful to the priests and Levites who were serving.(AL)
44 Also at that time men were appointed over the storerooms for the contributions, for the first fruits, and for the tithes, so those portions required by the Law could be gathered from the fields adjacent to the towns to benefit the priests and descendants of Levi, for the people of Judah rejoiced over the priests and the descendants of Levi who were serving.
45 And they will watch the watches of their God, and the watches of the purification, and those singing, and the gate-keepers, according to the command of David, and of Solomon his son.
45 For they performed the (o)worship of their God and the service of purification, together with the singers and the gatekeepers (Z)in accordance with the command of David and of his son Solomon.
45 And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.

47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah giving, portions, of the singers and the gate-keepers, the word of a day in its day: and consecrating to the Levites; and the Levites consecrating to the sons of Aaron.
47 So all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and Nehemiah gave the portions due the singers and the gatekeepers (AC)as each day required, and (AD)set apart the consecrated portion for the Levites, and the Levites set apart the consecrated portion for the sons of Aaron.
47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.
47 So in the days of Zerubbabel(AQ) and Nehemiah,(AR) all Israel contributed the daily portions(AS) for the singers and gatekeepers. They also set aside daily portions for the Levites, and the Levites set aside daily portions(AT) for the descendants of Aaron.
47 All Israel in the time of Zerubbabel and in the time of Nehemiah gave allotments to each of the singers and gate keepers on a daily basis, setting them apart to benefit the descendants of Levi. And the descendants of Levi set them apart to benefit the descendants of Aaron.
