Nehemiah 7:2

Opposition To The Completed Wall

¹ When the building of the wall was complete I put up the doors. The doorkeepers and the music-makers and the Levites had been given their places, ² then I put Hanani my brother, and Hananiah the commander of the fortress, in charge of Jerusalem, for he was a faithful man and feared God more than many. ³ I said to them: Do not let the doors of Jerusalem be open till the sun is high and when the watchmen are in their places. Shut the doors and lock them. Let the people of Jerusalem be responsible for the watch, every one in his watch near his house.

Nehemiah 1:2

Hanani, one of my brothers, came with men from Judah. This was in answer to my request for news about the Jews who had been prisoners and escaped from captivity and about Jerusalem.
