Ezra Reads The Law To The People

⁶ Ezra praised Jehovah, the great God. And all the people said: Amen! With lifted hands and bent heads they worshiped Jehovah. They dropped to their faces on the earth. ⁷ Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, the Levites, explained the law to the people while the people remained in their place. ⁸ They read from the book the Law of God making it clear (translating it), so that their minds were able to take it in.

Nehemiah 9:4

Then Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani took their places on the steps of the Levites and cried in a loud voice to Jehovah their God.
