And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
But he did not give any to the sons of Kohath because theirs was
the service of the holy objects, which they carried on the shoulder.
Then the Kohathites set out, carrying the holy objects; and the tabernacle was set up before their arrival.
So Moses wrote this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi
who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel.
For the priests who carried the ark were standing in the middle of the Jordan until everything was completed that the Lord had commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua. And the people hurried and crossed;

He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry
They shall also keep all the furnishings of the tent of meeting, along with the duties of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.
This is the work of the
descendants of Kohath in the tent of meeting, concerning the most holy things.
