Therefore my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so continue in the Lord, ye beloved.

Only let your conversation be, as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may yet hear of you, that ye continue in one spirit, and in one soul laboring as we do to maintain the faith of the gospel,

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, and be strong.

For God beareth me record how greatly I long after you all from the very heart-root in Jesus Christ.

Now are ye clean, through the words which I have spoken unto you.

that is to say: praise, honour, and immortality, to them which continue in good doing, and seek eternal life.

holding fast the word of life, unto my rejoicing in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither have laboured in vain.

O tarry thou the LORD's leisure. Be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart; and put thou thy trust in the LORD.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, "If ye continue in my words, then are ye my very disciples:

Which when he was come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad: and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would continually cleave unto the Lord.

Therefore, my dear brethren, be ye steadfast and unmovable, always rich in the works of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know how that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

even as ye have found us partly, for we are your rejoicing, even as ye are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.

{A song of the stairs} They that put their trust in the LORD are even as the mount Zion, which may not be removed, but standeth fast forever.

And they continued in the Apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayer.

and strengthened the disciples souls: exhorting them to continue in the faith, affirming that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and wrap not yourselves again in the yoke of bondage.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

For he longed after you, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard say that he should be sick,

But our conversation is in heaven, from whence we look for a saviour, even the Lord Jesus Christ,

Epaphras the servant of Christ, which is one of you, saluteth you, and always laboureth fervently for you in prayers that ye may stand perfect, and full in all that is the will of God.

For what is our hope or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not ye it in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

For now are we alive if ye stand steadfast in the Lord.

to make your hearts that they might be stable and unblamable in holiness before God our father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his saints.

Therefore, brethren, stand fast and keep the ordinances which ye have learned: whether it were by our preaching, or by our epistle.

Thou, therefore, my son be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

We are partakers of Christ, if we keep sure unto the end the beginning of the first substance,

Seeing, then, that we have a great high priest which is entered into heaven - I mean Jesus the son of God - let us hold our profession.

and let us keep the profession of our hope, without wavering - for he is faithful that promised -

Cast not away, therefore, your confidence; which hath great reward to recompense.

If all these things shall perish, what manner persons ought ye to be in holy conversation, and godliness:

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know it beforehand: Beware, lest ye be also plucked away with the error of the wicked, and fall from your own steadfastness;

But ye, dearly beloved, edify yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the holy ghost,

Unto him that is able to keep you, that ye fall not, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with joy,

Because thou hast kept the words of my patience, therefore I will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which will come upon all the world, to tempt them that dwell upon the earth.

and ye shall be hated of all men, for my name: but he that shall endureth unto the end, shall be saved.
