All About Life

¹³ The poor and the usurer meet together; the LORD lightens both their eyes. ¹⁴ If a king judges the poor with truth,
His throne will be established forever.
¹⁵ The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself shall bring his mother to shame.

Cause of the Poor

Proverbs 16:12

It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness, for the throne is to be established with righteousness.

Psalm 72:2-4

He shall judge thy people with righteousness and thy poor with judgment.

Proverbs 25:5

Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

Proverbs 29:4

The king by judgment establishes the land, but he that receives gifts shall overthrow it.

Isaiah 11:4

But with righteousness shall he judge the poor and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the spirit of his lips he shall slay the wicked.
