A Prayer For God To Throw Down The Wicked

11 Why, Jehovah, standest thou afar off? Why hidest thou thyself in times of distress?

11 Why do You stand afar off, O LORD? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?

11 Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?

11 Lord, why do You stand so far away? Why do You hide in times of trouble?

11 Why do you stand far away, LORD? Why do you hide in times of distress?

22 The wicked, in his pride, doth hotly pursue the afflicted. They shall be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

22 In pride the wicked hotly pursue the afflicted; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.

22 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

22 In arrogance the wicked relentlessly pursue the afflicted; let them be caught in the schemes they have devised.

22 The wicked one arrogantly pursues the afflicted, who are trapped in the schemes he devises.

33 For the wicked boasteth of his soul's desire, and he blesseth the covetous; he contemneth Jehovah.

33 For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire, And the greedy man curses and spurns the LORD.

33 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.

33 For the wicked one boasts about his own cravings; the one who is greedy curses and despises the Lord.

33 For the wicked one boasts about his own desire; he blesses the greedy and despises the LORD.

44 The wicked saith, in the haughtiness of his countenance, He doth not search out: all his thoughts are, There is no God!

44 The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him All his thoughts are, "There is no God."

44 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

44 In all his scheming, the wicked arrogantly thinks: "There is no accountability, [since] God does not exist."

44 With haughty arrogance, the wicked thinks, "God will not seek justice." He always presumes "There is no God."

55 His ways always succeed; thy judgments are far above out of his sight; as for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them.

55 His ways prosper at all times; Your judgments are on high, out of his sight; As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.

55 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.

55 His ways are always secure; Your lofty judgments are beyond his sight; he scoffs at all his adversaries.

55 Their ways always seem prosperous. Your judgments are on high, far away from them. They scoff at all their enemies.

66 He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved; from generation to generation I shall be in no adversity.

66 He says to himself, "I will not be moved; Throughout all generations I will not be in adversity."

66 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.

66 He says to himself, "I will never be moved- from generation to generation without calamity."

66 They say to themselves, "We will not be moved throughout all time, and we will not experience adversity."

77 His mouth is full of cursing, and deceit, and oppression; under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

77 His mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.

77 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.

77 Cursing, deceit, and violence fill his mouth; trouble and malice are under his tongue.

77 Their mouth is full of curses, lies, and oppression, their tongues spread trouble and iniquity.

88 He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; in the secret places doth he slay the innocent: his eyes watch for the wretched.

88 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; In the hiding places he kills the innocent; His eyes stealthily watch for the unfortunate.

88 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.

88 He waits in ambush near the villages; he kills the innocent in secret places; his eyes are on the lookout for the helpless.

88 They wait in ambush in the villages, they kill the innocent in secret.

99 He lieth in wait secretly, like a lion in his thicket; he lieth in wait to catch the afflicted: he doth catch the afflicted, drawing him into his net.

99 He lurks in a hiding place as a lion in his lair; He lurks to catch the afflicted; He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his net.

99 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.

99 He lurks in secret like a lion in a thicket. He lurks in order to seize the afflicted. He seizes the afflicted and drags him in his net.

99 Their eyes secretly watch the helpless, lying in wait like a lion in his den. They lie in wait to catch the afflicted. They catch the afflicted when they pull him into their net.

1010 He croucheth, he boweth down, that the wretched may fall by his strong ones.

1010 He crouches, he bows down, And the unfortunate fall by his mighty ones.

1010 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

1010 He crouches and bends down; the helpless fall because of his strength.

1010 The victim is crushed, and he sinks down; the helpless fall by their might.

1111 He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten, he hideth his face, he will never see it.

1111 He says to himself, "God has forgotten; He has hidden His face; He will never see it."

1111 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.

1111 He says to himself, "God has forgotten; He hides His face and will never see."

1111 The wicked say to themselves, "God has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it."

1212 Arise, Jehovah; O God, lift up thy hand: forget not the afflicted.

1212 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up Your hand Do not forget the afflicted.

1212 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.

1212 Rise up, Lord God! Lift up Your hand. Do not forget the afflicted.

1212 Rise up, LORD! Raise your hand, God. Don't forget the afflicted!

1313 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? He hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

1313 Why has the wicked spurned God? He has said to himself, "You will not require it."

1313 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

1313 Why has the wicked despised God? He says to himself, "You will not demand an account."

1313 Why do the wicked despise God and say to themselves, "God will not seek justice."?

1414 Thou hast seen it, for thou thyself beholdest trouble and vexation, to requite by thy hand. The wretched committeth himself unto thee; thou hast been the helper of the fatherless.

1414 You have seen it, for You have beheld mischief and vexation to take it into Your hand The unfortunate commits himself to You; You have been the helper of the orphan.

1414 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.

1414 But You Yourself have seen trouble and grief, observing it in order to take the matter into Your hands. The helpless entrusts himself to You; You are a helper of the fatherless.

1414 But you do see! You take note of trouble and grief in order to take the matter into your own hand. The helpless one commits himself to you; you have been the orphan's helper.

1515 Break thou the arm of the wicked, and as for the evil man, seek out his wickedness till thou find none.

1515 Break the arm of the wicked and the evildoer, Seek out his wickedness until You find none.

1515 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.

1515 Break the arm of the wicked and evil person; call his wickedness into account until nothing remains of it.

1515 Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; so that when you seek out his wickedness you will find it no more.

1616 Jehovah is King for ever and ever: the nations have perished out of his land.

1616 The LORD is King forever and ever; Nations have perished from His land.

1616 The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.

1616 The Lord is King forever and ever; the nations will perish from His land.

1616 The LORD is king forever and ever; nations will perish from his land.

1717 Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek, thou hast established their heart: thou causest thine ear to hear,

1717 O LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear

1717 LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:

1717 Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their hearts. You will listen carefully,

1717 LORD, you heard the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen them, you will listen carefully,

1818 To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed one, that the man of the earth may terrify no more.

1818 To vindicate the orphan and the oppressed, So that man who is of the earth will no longer cause terror.

1818 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

1818 doing justice for the fatherless and the oppressed, so that men of the earth may terrify [them] no more.

1818 to do justice for the orphan and the oppressed, so that men of the earth may cause terror no more. To the Director: A Davidic Song.
