My Strength

1 To you, O Yahweh, I call. O my rock, do not be deaf to me. Or else, if you are silent to me, then I will become like those descending to [the] pit.

1 A Psalm of David.To You, O Lord, I call;My (A)rock, do not be deaf to me,For if You (B)are silent to me,I will become like those who (C)go down to the pit.

1 {A Psalm of David.} Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

1 Davidic.Lord, I call to You;my rock, do not be deaf to me.(A)If You remain silent to me,I will be like those going down to the Pit.(B)

1 To you, LORD, I cry out! My Rock, do not refuse to answer me. If you remain silent, I will become like those who descend into the Pit.

2 Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your holy inner sanctuary.

2 Hear the (D)voice of my supplications when I cry to You for help,When I (E)lift up my hands (F)toward (a)Your holy (G)sanctuary.

2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

2 Listen to the sound of my pleadingwhen I cry to You for help,when I lift up my handstoward Your holy sanctuary.(C)

2 Hear the sound of my supplications when I cry to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary.

3 Do not drag me away with [the] wicked or with [the] workers of evil, [who] speak of peace with their neighbors, while evil [is] in their heart.

3 (H)Do not drag me away with the wickedAnd with those who work iniquity,Who (I)speak peace with their neighbors,While evil is in their hearts.

3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

3 Do not drag me away with the wicked,with the evildoers,who speak in friendly ways with their neighborswhile malice is in their hearts.(D)

3 Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who practice iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors while harboring evil in their hearts.

4 Give to them according to their work, even according to the evil of their deeds. Give to them according to the work of their hands; repay them their rightful due.

4 Requite them (J)according to their work and according to the evil of their practices;Requite them according to the deeds of their hands;Repay them their (b)recompense.

4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

4 Repay them according to what they have done—according to the evil of their deeds.Repay them according to the work of their hands;give them back what they deserve.(E)

4 Reward them according to their deeds; according to the evil of their actions. Reward them based on what they do; give them what they deserve.

5 Because they do not regard the works of Yahweh, nor the work of his hands, he will destroy them and not rebuild them.

5 Because they (K)do not regard the works of the LordNor the deeds of His hands,He will tear them down and not build them up.

5 Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

5 Because they do not considerwhat the Lord has doneor the work of His hands,He will tear them down and not rebuild them.(F)

5 Because they do not understand the deeds of the LORD or the work of his hands, He will tear them down and never build them up.

6 Blessed [is] Yahweh, because he has heard the voice of my supplications.

6 Blessed be the Lord,Because He (L)has heard the voice of my supplication.

6 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

6 May the Lord be praised,for He has heard the sound of my pleading.(G)

6 Blessed be the LORD! For he has heard the sound of my supplications.

7 Yahweh [is] my strength and my shield. My heart trusts him and I am helped. So my heart rejoices, and with my song I will give thanks to him.

7 The Lord is my (M)strength and my (N)shield;My heart (O)trusts in Him, and I am helped;Therefore (P)my heart exults,And with (Q)my song I shall thank Him.

7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

7 The Lord is my strength and my shield;my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.(H)Therefore my heart rejoices,and I praise Him with my song.(I)

8 Yahweh [is] their strength, and he [is] the refuge for the salvation of his anointed one.

8 The Lord is (c)their (R)strength,And He is a (d)(S)saving defense to His anointed.

8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

8 The Lord is the strength of His people;(a)He is a stronghold of salvation for His anointed.(J)

8 The LORD is the strength of his people; he is a refuge of deliverance for his anointed.

9 Save your people and bless your heritage. Shepherd them also and carry them always.

9 (T)Save Your people and bless (U)Your inheritance;Be their (V)shepherd also, and (W)carry them forever.

9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

9 Save Your people, bless Your possession,shepherd them, and carry them forever.(K)
