For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.
Day and night, they go round her, upon her walls, And, trouble and misery, are in her midst;
He that uttereth slander in secret against his friend, him, will I root out; One of lofty eyes, and of an ambitious heart, him shall I not be able to endure.
1 Samuel 22:8
That ye have conspired, all of you, against me, and there is none to uncover mine ear as to the covenanting of my son with the son of Jesse?
