1 Hear, O God, my voice when I complain, From dread peril by the foe, wilt thou guard my life.

5 They strengthen for them a wicked word, They talk of hiding snares, They have said, Who can see them?
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
5 They (c)hold fast to themselves an evil purpose;They (d)talk of (I)laying snares secretly;They say, “(J)Who can see them?”
5 They encourage each other in an evil plan;(a)(b)they talk about hiding traps and say,“Who will see them?”(c)(G)
5 They concoct an evil scheme for themselves; they enumerate their hidden snares; they say, "Who will see them?"
6 They devise perverse things, They have completed the device well devised, Both the intent of each one, and the mind, are unsearchable.
6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

6 They devise crimes and say,“We have perfected a secret plan.”(H)The inner man and the heart are mysterious.
6 They devise wicked schemes, saying, "We have completed our plans, hiding them deep in our hearts."
8 When they were to have ruined another, their tongue smote themselves, All who observe them take flight.
8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

8 They tripped over their own tongues, and everyone who was watching ran away.
9 Therefore have all men feared, - And have told the doing of God, And, his work, have considered.
9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
9 Then all men (m)will (P)fear,And they (n)will (Q)declare the work of God,And (o)will consider (p)what He has done.
9 Then everyone will fearand will tell about God’s work,for they will understand what He has done.(K)
9 Everyone was gripped with fear and acknowledged God's deeds, understanding what he had done.
10 The righteous man shall rejoice Yahweh, and seek refuge in him, Then shall glory - all who are upright in heart.
10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
10 The righteous man will be (R)glad in the Lord and will (S)take refuge in Him;And all the upright in heart will glory.
10 The righteous one rejoices in the Lordand takes refuge in Him;all those who are upright in heartwill offer praise.(L)
