1 O God, my GOD, thou art, Earnestly do I desire thee, - My soul thirsteth for thee, My flesh fainteth for thee, In a land - dry, and weary for want of water, -
1 A Psalm of David, (a)when he was in the wilderness of Judah.O God, (A)You are my God; I shall seek You (b)earnestly;My soul (B)thirsts for You, my flesh (c)yearns for You,In a (C)dry and weary land where there is no water.
1 {A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.} O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
1 A Davidic psalm. When he was in the Wilderness of Judah.(A)God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You.I thirst for You;my body faints for Youin a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.(B)
1 God, you are my God! I will fervently seek you. My soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you in a dry, weary, and parched land.
5 Should I call thee to mind upon my conch, In the watches of the night, would I breathe soft speech of thee.
5 My soul is (H)satisfied as with (d)marrow and fatness,And my mouth offers (I)praises with joyful lips.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
5 Just as I am satisfied with the choicest of foods, so my lips will praise you joyfully.
10 But, the king, shall rejoice in God, - Every one shall glory who sweareth by him, For the mouth of them who speak falsehood, shall be stopped.
10 (h)They will be (i)(R)delivered over to the power of the sword;They will be a (j)(S)prey for foxes.
10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
10 May they be given over to the power of the sword; may they become carrion for jackals.
