([Psalm of Asaph]) We give thanks to you, O God, we give thanks, for your name is near and men declare your wondrous works.
When I select an appointed time, it is I who judge in righteousness.
The earth and all who dwell in it dissolve (melt) (become faint hearted). I have firmly set its pillars.
I said to the boastful: Do not boast! I said to the wicked: Do not lift up the horn (brag about your power)!
Do not lift up your horn on high. Do not speak with insolent pride.
There is no exaltation from the east, or from the west, or from the desert.
God is the Judge; He brings down one and exalts another.
Jehovah holds a cup in his hand. The wine foams and is well mixed. So he pours from it. Surely all the wicked of the earth must drain and drink down its dregs.
He will remove the horn (power) of the wicked. The horn (power) of the righteous will be exalted.
