Jehovah said to Samuel: How long will you mourn for Saul? After all I have rejected him from being king over Israel? Take oil in your vessel and go. I will send you to Jesse, the Beth-lehemite. I have a king from among his sons.

Say this to my servant David: 'This is what Jehovah of Hosts says: I took you from the pasture where you followed sheep so that you could be the leader of my people Israel.

He spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from ages past.

For no prophecy ever came by the will of man! Men spoke from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.

You should remember the words that were spoken before by the holy prophets, and the commandments of the Lord and Savior through your apostles.

What do you want with us Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are. You are the Holy One of God!

To the angel of the congregation in Philadelphia write: He says these things. He who is holy, he who is true, he who has the key of David, he who opens and no man shuts, and shuts and no man opens.

I have laid

One of his attendants said: Jesse of the town of Bethlehem has a son who is a good musician. He is also a brave and handsome man, a good soldier, and an able speaker. Jehovah is with him.

For unto us a child is born. Unto us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.

Their leader will be someone from their own people. Their ruler will come from among them. I will bring him near, and he will come close to me. Who would dare to come near me? Declares Jehovah.

Exalted

I made a covenant with my chosen; I swore to David my servant:

I will not take the entire kingdom away from Solomon. I will keep him in power as long as he lives. This I will do for the sake of my servant David, whom I chose and who obeyed my laws and commands.

He existed in the form (shape and nature) of God but did not try to be equal with God. He did not even consider it!

We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels and crowned with glory and honor for suffering death. By the grace of God he tasted death for every man.
