The Blowing Of The Trumpets
The First Trumpet
7 [When] the first trumpet sounded [I saw] hail and fire, mingled with blood, being hurled down onto the earth. And one third of it was burned up, and one third of the trees were burned up and all the green grass was [also] burned up.

8 [When] the second angel sounded its trumpet [I saw] what seemed like a huge mountain, ablaze with fire, being thrown into the ocean. And one third of the ocean turned to blood,
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

9 and one third of [all] living sea creatures died, and one third of [all] ships were destroyed.
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
9 and (X)a third of the creatures which were in the sea (f)and had life, died; and a third of the (Y)ships were destroyed.
9 a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
9 one-third of the creatures that were living in the sea died, and one-third of the ships was destroyed.
The Third Trumpet
10 [When] the third angel sounded its trumpet [I saw] a huge star, like a flaming torch, falling from heaven. It fell on one third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
10 The third angel sounded, and a great star (Z)fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a (AA)third of the rivers and on the (AB)springs of waters.
10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from heaven.(B) It fell on a third of the rivers and springs of water.
10 When the third angel blew his trumpet, a huge star blazing like a torch fell from heaven. It fell on one-third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
11 And the star was called "Wormwood" [Note: The Greek word here means "bitter," See Lam. 3:15 ASV], and one third of the waters became wormwood [i.e., bitter], and many people died from the waters because they had become bitter.
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

The Fourth Trumpet
12 [When] the fourth angel sounded its trumpet [I saw] one third of the sun, one third of the moon, and one third of the stars being struck, so that one third [of their light] would become darkened. So, the daytime had [only] one third of its [normal] light, and the nighttime was the same way.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
12 The fourth angel sounded, and a (AE)third of the (AF)sun and a third of the (AG)moon and a (AH)third of the (AI)stars were struck, so that a (AJ)third of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a (AK)third of it, and the night in the same way.

13 And as I looked, I heard an eagle flying in midair, saying in a loud voice, "It is bad, very bad, awful bad for those people who live on earth, because of the sound of the trumpets of the remaining three angels!" [i.e., because of the messages they will deliver].
13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
13 Then I looked, and I heard (g)an eagle flying in (AL)midheaven, saying with a loud voice, “(AM)Woe, woe, woe to (AN)those who dwell on the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the (AO)three angels who are about to sound!”
13 I looked again and heard an eagle(b) flying high overhead, crying out in a loud voice, “Woe!(D) Woe! Woe to those who live on the earth, because of the remaining trumpet blasts that the three angels are about to sound!”
13 Then I looked, and I heard an eagle flying overhead say in a loud voice, "How terrible, how terrible, how terrible for those living on the earth, because of the blasts of the remaining trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!"
