Now this he spoke, signifying by what manner of death he should glorify God. After he spoke he said: Follow me.

After David served his own generation by doing the will of God he died and was buried with his fathers. His body decayed.

I do not consider my life of any account. It is not dear to me so that I may finish the race, and I may accomplish the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to preach the good news of the grace of God.

Why do you weep and break my heart? Paul answered: For I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

If I am offered for the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice with you all.

He died for us, that, whether we are awake in this life or sleep in death, we should live together with him.

We live therefore

Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours!

Everyone will be raised to life in the right order: Christ the first fruits and afterward those who belong to Christ at the time of his coming.

If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus.

Then I heard a voice from heaven say: Write: Blessed are the dead who die in union with the Lord from this time forward: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works follow them.
