Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
We die unto
Now this He said,
signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He *said to him, “ Follow Me!”
David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep, and was laid among his fathers and underwent decay;
I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.
Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For
I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
But even if I am being
poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
1 Thessalonians 5:10
