Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;
And just as they did not see fit
to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,
Therefore you have
no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all.
there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins.
But the Scripture has
shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
1 John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have
come short of it.
through whom also we have
obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
