Before the decree ^(a)takes effect—
The day passes ^(A)like the chaff—
Before the ^(B)burning anger of the Lord comes upon you,
Before the ^(C)day of the Lord’s anger comes upon you.

^(D)Seek the Lord,
All you ^(E)humble of the ^(b)earth
Who have carried out His ^(c)ordinances;
^(F)Seek righteousness, seek humility.
Perhaps you will be ^(G)hidden
In the day of the Lord’s anger.
