וַיְהִ֤י
way·hî
And as
הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙
ham·me·leḵ
the king
､ עֹבֵ֔ר
‘ō·ḇêr,
passed by ､
וְה֖וּא
wə·hū
and he
צָעַ֣ק
ṣā·‘aq
אֶל־
’el-
to
– הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ
ham·me·leḵ;
the king –
､ וַיֹּ֜אמֶר
way·yō·mer
and said ､
עַבְדְּךָ֣ ׀
‘aḇ·də·ḵā
יָצָ֣א
yā·ṣā
בְקֶֽרֶב־
ḇə·qe·reḇ-
– הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה
ham·mil·ḥā·māh,
of the battle –
､ וְהִנֵּֽה־
wə·hin·nêh-
and there ､
אִ֨ישׁ
’îš
a man
､ סָ֜ר
sār
וַיָּבֵ֧א
way·yā·ḇê
אֵלַ֣י
’ê·lay
to me
אִ֗ישׁ
’îš,
a man
､ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙
way·yō·mer
and said ､
שְׁמֹר֙
šə·mōr
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
– הָאִ֣ישׁ
hā·’îš
man –
הַזֶּ֔ה
haz·zeh,
אִם־
’im-
if
הִפָּקֵד֙
hip·pā·qêḏ
､ יִפָּקֵ֔ד
yip·pā·qêḏ,
he is missing ､
וְהָיְתָ֤ה
wə·hā·yə·ṯāh
and shall be
נַפְשְׁךָ֙
nap̄·šə·ḵā
תַּ֣חַת
ta·ḥaṯ
､ נַפְשׁ֔וֹ
nap̄·šōw,
his life ､
א֥וֹ
’ōw
or else
כִכַּר־
ḵik·kar-
כֶּ֖סֶף
ke·sep̄
. תִּשְׁקֽוֹל׃
tiš·qō·wl.
