וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨ם
way·yaš·kêm
דָּוִ֜ד
dā·wiḏ
､ בַּבֹּ֗קֶר
bab·bō·qer,
in the morning ､
וַיִּטֹּ֤שׁ
way·yiṭ·ṭōš
and left
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
הַצֹּאן֙
haṣ·ṣōn
the sheep
עַל־
‘al-
with
､ שֹׁמֵ֔ר
šō·mêr,
a keeper ､
､ וַיִּשָּׂ֣א
way·yiś·śā
and took [the things] ､
､ וַיֵּ֔לֶךְ
way·yê·leḵ,
and went ､
כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר
ka·’ă·šer
as
צִוָּ֖הוּ
ṣiw·wā·hū
יִשָׁ֑י
yi·šāy;
וַיָּבֹא֙
way·yā·ḇō
and he came
､ הַמַּעְגָּ֔לָה
ham·ma‘·gā·lāh,
to the camp ､
וְהַחַ֗יִל
wə·ha·ḥa·yil,
and as the army
הַיֹּצֵא֙
hay·yō·ṣê
אֶל־
’el-
to
､ הַמַּ֣עֲרָכָ֔ה
ham·ma·‘ă·rā·ḵāh,
the fight ､
וְהֵרֵ֖עוּ
wə·hê·rê·‘ū
. בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃
bam·mil·ḥā·māh.
for the battle .
