וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע

שָׁא֔וּל
šā·’ūl,
כִּ֚י
kî
､ נוֹדַ֣ע
nō·w·ḏa‘
דָּוִ֔ד
dā·wiḏ,
וַאֲנָשִׁ֖ים
wa·’ă·nā·šîm
and the men
אֲשֶׁ֣ר
’ă·šer
אִתּ֑וֹ
’it·tōw;
with him
וְשָׁאוּל֩
wə·šā·’ūl
and Saul
יוֹשֵׁ֨ב
yō·wō·šêḇ
בַּגִּבְעָ֜ה
bag·giḇ·‘āh
תַּֽחַת־
ta·ḥaṯ-
הָאֶ֤שֶׁל
hā·’e·šel
בָּֽרָמָה֙
bā·rā·māh
on the height
וַחֲנִית֣וֹ
wa·ḥă·nî·ṯōw
and with his spear
､ בְיָד֔וֹ
ḇə·yā·ḏōw,
in his hand ､
וְכָל־
wə·ḵāl
and all
עֲבָדָ֖יו
‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw
נִצָּבִ֥ים
niṣ·ṣā·ḇîm
. עָלָֽיו׃
‘ā·lāw.
