וַיֹּ֣אמֶר
way·yō·mer
So said
יוֹאָ֗ב
yō·w·’āḇ,
לָאִישׁ֙
lā·’îš
to the man
הַמַּגִּ֣יד
ham·mag·gîḏ
ל֔וֹ
lōw,
､ וְהִנֵּ֣ה
wə·hin·nêh
and just ､
רָאִ֔יתָ
rā·’î·ṯā,
וּמַדּ֛וּעַ
ū·mad·dū·a‘
and why
לֹֽא־
lō-
not
הִכִּית֥וֹ
hik·kî·ṯōw
שָׁ֖ם
šām
؟ אָ֑רְצָה
’ā·rə·ṣāh;
to the ground ؟
וְעָלַ֗י
wə·‘ā·lay,
and I
לָ֤תֶת
lā·ṯeṯ
לְךָ֙
lə·ḵā
עֲשָׂ֣רָה
‘ă·śā·rāh
､ כֶ֔סֶף
ḵe·sep̄,
[shekels] of silver ､
וַחֲגֹרָ֖ה
wa·ḥă·ḡō·rāh
and belt
. אֶחָֽת׃
’e·ḥāṯ.
