וַעֲמָשָׂ֨א

But Amasa
לֹֽא־
lō-
not
נִשְׁמַ֜ר
niš·mar
בַּחֶ֣רֶב ׀
ba·ḥe·reḇ
the sword
אֲשֶׁ֣ר
’ă·šer
– בְּיַד־
bə·yaḏ-
in hand –
יוֹאָ֗ב
yō·w·’āḇ,
of Joab
וַיַּכֵּהוּ֩
way·yak·kê·hū
and he struck him
בָ֨הּ
ḇāh
with it
אֶל־
’el-
in
הַחֹ֜מֶשׁ
ha·ḥō·meš
וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֨ךְ
way·yiš·pōḵ
מֵעָ֥יו
mê·‘āw
､ אַ֛רְצָה
’ar·ṣāh
on the ground ､
וְלֹא־
wə·lō-
and not
שָׁ֥נָה
šā·nāh
ל֖וֹ
lōw
. וַיָּמֹ֑ת
way·yā·mōṯ;
thus he died .
