וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ
way·yā·ḇō·’ū
וַיָּצֻ֣רוּ
way·yā·ṣu·rū
עָלָ֗יו
‘ā·lāw,
בְּאָבֵ֙לָה֙
bə·’ā·ḇê·lāh
in Abel
בֵּ֣ית
bêṯ
of
הַֽמַּעֲכָ֔ה
ham·ma·‘ă·ḵāh,
וַיִּשְׁפְּכ֤וּ
way·yiš·pə·ḵū
and they cast up
סֹֽלְלָה֙
sō·lə·lāh
אֶל־
’el-
､ הָעִ֔יר
hā·‘îr,
the city ､
וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֖ד
wat·ta·‘ă·mōḏ
and it stood
– בַּחֵ֑ל
ba·ḥêl;
by the rampart –
וְכָל־
wə·ḵāl
and all
הָעָם֙
hā·‘ām
the people
אֲשֶׁ֣ר
’ă·šer
אֶת־
’eṯ-
with
יוֹאָ֔ב
yō·w·’āḇ,
מַשְׁחִיתִ֖ם
maš·ḥî·ṯim
. לְהַפִּ֥יל
lə·hap·pîl
to throw it down .
､ הַחוֹמָֽה׃
ha·ḥō·w·māh.
