וַיָּבֹ֨א

And came
דָוִ֣ד
ḏā·wiḏ
אֶל־
’el-
to
בֵּיתוֹ֮
bê·ṯōw
– יְרֽוּשָׁלִַם֒
yə·rū·šā·lim
at Jerusalem –
וַיִּקַּ֣ח
way·yiq·qaḥ
and took
הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ
ham·me·leḵ
the king
אֵ֣ת
’êṯ
-
עֶֽשֶׂר־
‘e·śer-
נָשִׁ֣ים ׀
nā·šîm
the women
､ פִּלַגְשִׁ֡ים
pi·laḡ·šîm
אֲשֶׁ֣ר
’ă·šer
הִנִּיחַ֩
hin·nî·aḥ
לִשְׁמֹ֨ר
liš·mōr
to keep
､ הַבַּ֜יִת
hab·ba·yiṯ
the house ､
וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֤ם
way·yit·tə·nêm
and put them
בֵּית־
bêṯ-
in
､ מִשְׁמֶ֙רֶת֙
miš·me·reṯ
וַֽיְכַלְכְּלֵ֔ם
way·ḵal·kə·lêm,
וַאֲלֵיהֶ֖ם
wa·’ă·lê·hem
but to them
לֹא־
lō-
not
בָ֑א
ḇā;
did go in
וַתִּהְיֶ֧ינָה
wat·tih·ye·nāh
צְרֻר֛וֹת
ṣə·ru·rō·wṯ
shut up
עַד־
‘aḏ-
to
י֥וֹם
yō·wm
the day of
מֻתָ֖ן
mu·ṯān
אַלְמְנ֥וּת
’al·mə·nūṯ
. חַיּֽוּת׃
ḥay·yūṯ.
