וַיֹּ֨אמֶר

And said
יוֹאָ֜ב
yō·w·’āḇ
אֶל־
’el-
to
､ הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ
ham·me·leḵ,
the king ､
וְיוֹסֵ֣ף
wə·yō·w·sêp̄
and may add
יְהוָה֩
Yah·weh
אֱלֹהֶ֨יךָ
’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā
אֶל־
’el-
to
､ הָעָ֜ם
hā·‘ām
the people ､
כָּהֵ֤ם ׀
kā·hêm
as they [were]
וְכָהֵם֙
wə·ḵā·hêm
and as they [are]
מֵאָ֣ה
mê·’āh
､ פְעָמִ֔ים
p̄ə·‘ā·mîm,
times ､
וְעֵינֵ֥י
wə·‘ê·nê
and the eyes
אֲדֹנִֽי־
’ă·ḏō·nî-
of my lord
הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ
ham·me·leḵ
the king
רֹא֑וֹת
rō·’ō·wṯ;
may see [it]
וַאדֹנִ֣י
wa·ḏō·nî
but my lord
הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ
ham·me·leḵ,
the king
לָ֥מָּה
lām·māh
חָפֵ֖ץ
ḥā·p̄êṣ
בַּדָּבָ֥ר
bad·dā·ḇār
؟ הַזֶּֽה׃
haz·zeh.
this ؟
