וַיִּקַּח֙
way·yiq·qaḥ
And he took
סֵ֣פֶר
sê·p̄er
the Book
､ הַבְּרִ֔ית
hab·bə·rîṯ,
of the Covenant ､
וַיִּקְרָ֖א
way·yiq·rā
and read
בְּאָזְנֵ֣י
bə·’ā·zə·nê
in the hearing
– הָעָ֑ם
hā·‘ām;
of the people –
､ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ
way·yō·mə·rū,
and they said ､
כֹּ֛ל
kōl
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
דִּבֶּ֥ר
dib·ber
יְהוָ֖ה
Yah·weh
､ נַעֲשֶׂ֥ה
na·‘ă·śeh
we will do ､
. וְנִשְׁמָֽע׃
wə·niš·mā‘.
and be obedient .
