וַיִּקַּ֛ח
way·yiq·qaḥ
And took
יְהוָ֥ה
Yah·weh
אֱלֹהִ֖ים
’ĕ·lō·hîm
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
､ הָֽאָדָ֑ם
hā·’ā·ḏām;
the man ､
וַיַּנִּחֵ֣הוּ
way·yan·ni·ḥê·hū
and put him
בְגַן־
ḇə·ḡan-
in the garden
עֵ֔דֶן
‘ê·ḏen,
of Eden
לְעָבְדָ֖הּ
lə·‘ā·ḇə·ḏāh
to tend
. וּלְשָׁמְרָֽהּ׃
ū·lə·šā·mə·rāh.
and keep it .
