､ וַיְהִ֥י
way·hî
And so it was ､
､ בְלִדְתָּ֖הּ
ḇə·liḏ·tāh
וַיִּתֶּן־
way·yit·ten-
that [the one] put out
יָ֑ד
yāḏ;
וַתִּקַּ֣ח
wat·tiq·qaḥ
and took
､ הַמְיַלֶּ֗דֶת
ham·yal·le·ḏeṯ,
the midwife ､
וַתִּקְשֹׁ֨ר
wat·tiq·šōr
and tied
עַל־
‘al-
on
יָד֤וֹ
yā·ḏōw
､ שָׁנִי֙
šā·nî
a scarlet [thread] ､
､ לֵאמֹ֔ר
lê·mōr,
saying ､
זֶ֖ה
zeh
יָצָ֥א
yā·ṣā
. רִאשֹׁנָֽה׃
ri·šō·nāh.
