וַתִּקַּ֣ח
wat·tiq·qaḥ
and took
、 הַמְיַלֶּ֗דֶת
ham·yal·le·ḏeṯ,
the midwife
וַתִּקְשֹׁ֨ר
wat·tiq·šōr
and tied
עַל־
‘al-
on
יָד֤וֹ
yā·ḏōw
、 שָׁנִי֙
šā·nî
a scarlet [thread] 、
、 לֵאמֹ֔ר
lê·mōr,
saying
זֶ֖ה
zeh
יָצָ֥א
yā·ṣā
. רִאשֹׁנָֽה׃
ri·šō·nāh.
